Mrs Bootman

Mrs Bootman is Associate Principal at Sir Thomas Wharton Academy. Prior to this, she was the Vice Principal at Netherwood Academy in Wombwell, Barnsley, where she was instrumental in merging two very challenging schools together and had responsibility for curriculum, timetabling, intervention, standards and achievement. Mrs Bootman has also held a number of leadership roles including Assistant Principal with responsibility for assessment and data across all key stages.

In her four years of experience as a National Strategy Consultant for Barnsley Local Authority, Mrs Bootman worked closely with teachers in schools across the Local Authority to raise standards of teaching and learning, assessment and middle leadership, whilst working closely with teachers in the classroom to team teach as a skilled coach and mentor.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  Continued professional development is a key driver for Mrs Bootman and she is passionate about supporting staff with their own development and coaching. She has supported the training of others not only as a National Strategy Consultant but also as a coach on the National Leadership Pathways programme. Additionally, she was a facilitator in the NCSL Middle Leadership Development programme. Mrs Bootman has recently achieved National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH).
