Sheffield FC Scholars raise money for St. Luke's Hospice.
It was a proud moment for Sheffield FC/Maltby Academy Scholar Aaron Austin on Tuesday evening, having made his Sheffield FC debut versus Chesterfield FC, in a game played in memory of his father Kevin Austin at the Home of Football. Chesterfield won the game 2-1.
The main objective of the game was to honour the ex-Spireites defender, and there was a minute's applause before kick-off as supporters paid tribute to Kevin, with all proceeds from the match going to St Luke's Hospice, at the request of Kevin's family.
The SFC/MA Scholars who were out and about throughout the fixture with their buckets, raising money for such a good cause. In total we raised £900 from the fixture, which is brilliant, The Scholars were a credit to themselves, Sheffield FC and Maltby Academy.
Well done to everyone involved.
